Retail - how to bite it?
We completed another workshops for the heads of sales and logistics departments in retail networks. The workshops were dedicated to the organization of the implementation of systems supporting business processes in retail organizations selling fast moving as well as slow moving goods.

The aim of the workshops is to prepare companies for the safe choice of the strategy for IT solutions implementation as well as for the further successful implementation of these solutions.

The idea of the workshops appeared after receiving an information about another large retail chain, which treated the implementation of an IT system as classic ERP system implementation.

ERP systems in their concept are dedicated to support production, distribution and logistics processes in organizations with completely different needs than a modern retail network.

For good retail network handling we need tools allowing:

  • Sales forecasting.
  • Depending on the industry:
  • collection management,
  • lot and expiry date management,
  • serial number and service management.
  • Master data management - in a completely different model than in the classic ERP system.
  • Network management, network inventory, franchising handling - information regarding the size of    the current stock in the whole distribution network.
  • Price and promotions management.
  • Distribution planning – push and pull.
  • Additional services handling.
  • Operational stock replenishment in stores.
  • Multi-channel sales management  (not only POS, but also eCommerce, helpline, etc.).
  • Products leasing.
  • Service management.
  • Complaints and returns handling.

Our experts, having years of experience in the organization of retail chains, logistics, distribution and implementation of IT systems in the retail industry, discuss during the workshops the greatest threats facing companies planning to choose a new system. They also present the best practices of IT solutions for the retail industry and together with the participants they apply them to real scenarios.
